Kind of dead center of the frame and not really much variety in the images . . .

Hey look, it's a guy on a motorcycle traveling at a high-rate of speed . . .

moooostly in focus and exposed reasonably well, just not much creativity or artistic ability shown in the images . . .

Sorry, I know sometimes that is tough to hear and even harder to take, but the simple fact is that you have "captured an instant in time" and not really much more.

Thanks for the replies.

AZAlphaDog....thanks for your honest reply. It's not hard to hear or take I can assure you. I'm very much a complete beginner when it comes to Photography so was expecting your comments or similar. If I am to improve then I need knowledgable people like yourself to tell me where I'm going wrong and hopefully point me in the right direction.

I've only recently joined this site and have been blown away by peoples pics and ability. I feel I have learnt loads already just by looking and reading peoples C&C in many threads. I've tried to take on board what people say so I can hopefully improve my own future pictures. It's given me loads of ideas and enthusiasm...and it's shown me how much I have to learn aswell!!!

Truth is, I just wanted to throw a few pics up and join in lol

Thanks again

They're not tack sharp and they're cropped a bit tight (as mentioned) which makes for redundancy. The aprature looks a bit small, f/5.6 on the two that I looked at. I'm guessing you're not using good glass. That will be a must if you're ever going to get off the porch. You're off to a good start. Listen to the people here and you'll be shooting better the very next time you go out.

You get extra points for location. I'd give my dog's left testicle to go shoot there. (He knows something's up, he just looked up at me like "WTF dude!" :D

What's in your (external link) sippy cup?
My stuff:
A low-light hi-def rapid shooter, a sniper, a couple old school 35s.

Some L, a nifty f/1.4, a kit IS, some slow EFs and two crappy Qs.

Nice set and good cc already given.

I will say though that I love that last one, it is the standout for me.

I'd love to go one year before I die. I used to listen to a record (yes, the black round things) of the TT when I was young. I can remember sitting enthralled time and time again at the different bike sounds, particularly the high revving 50cc's and the thumping Nortons. It is what got me into motorcycles and has been responsible for 15 broken bones haha

Thanks for posting them.

Bod,Work on the composition more and try to include backdrop and show where it is.
Nearly every bloody bike photo is just that,a pic of a bike ,dont fall into the same boring trap, use your imagination and shoot wider .

I agree with most of what's already been said.
Nothing really shows where they were taken. They could be anywhere.
If the title wasn't "Isle of Man TT" no one would know that's where they are.
I was excited when I saw the title but left disappointed by the content. Just bikes on a road.
Try to shoot a little bit looser to take in the surroundings - spectators, road signs, buildings scenery etc - to give a bit of feel and context to the pic.
Shooting tight is nice but it's not always what's needed to tell the story and often doesn't tell the story.
