If you like hell bring a nice wide angle to get as much of it as you can and if you don't like hell any lens will do leave the lens cap on while viewing. I've been to Death Valley so I can't imagine what could be hotter and most shoot early morning and evenings avoiding the heat all together.

I think flare might be an issue. Make sure to bring coated lenses with good hoods, stop your lense down to f/28, bring the bigstopper ND filter, and shoot iso 10 or whatever is the slowest. Leave the plastic lenses at home.

Since your going to hell anyway, rob a high dollar camera store and steal every L in sight.

That should about cover your needs... ;)

How mobile are you looking to be?

Hard to say. I am hoping between the weeping and the gnashing of teeth I might be able to sneak off here and there.

You'll want something capable of action shots, for der fuhrer and the pineapple.

Oh c'mon, New Jersey isn't that bad.

Since I will be there for eternity, I need to get this right. 2 lenses, maybe 3. I am only bringing a 5D MkII and no backup. Here is what I have. . .

17-40
200mm 2.8
70-200 f4L
35mm 1.4
100mm Zeiss
21mm Zeiss
24-105

Can also rent, since I doubt lensrentals or borrowlenses will come after me if I don't return them. Besides, I'm already in hell, what else can they do to me?

I am thinking 24-105 for walkaround and 35mm for low light. But then I don't have the long end covered.

Decisions.

I’ll ask my ex. She should know since she’s from there.
