I have a T1i, 18-55mm kit lens, 50mm 1.8, 85mm 1.8 and 55-250 IS (will sell if I get 70-200 F4 IS). I have not got great results with any of these lenses....Please tell me I should buy this lens to get stunning results over the ones I have now...:) I can pick one up for 1k used.

I mainly want a lens I could use 80% of the time. I like to take pictures of our child, sports, nature, and new baby coming soon;) I just bought a tripod and 430ex ii to help with lighting indoors and currently taking a photography class to help with settings...

Not to sound mean, but don't you think it's not the gear is to blame when you can't get good results with any lens? I highly doubt buying this lens will make a difference. Maybe start a thread where you post examples (with exif info) where we can try to help you further?

I know, I'm not blaming the gear necessarily, just trying to get a sweet lens that I can leave on my camera and practice practice practice with it to achieve results like the ones on this thread. I feel this lens range would be perfect for what I shoot...
I appreciate the feedback and no you don't sound mean :)

The colors are stunning. Did you PP them or it is just HDR ?

Thanks. It's not HDR. Colors are the result of shadows/highlights + brightness/contrast adjustments.
