That's almost as good as my 1-1200 f/1 L OD IS EIEIO. ;)

Damn! Forgot all about that NDA... :p

Hey, they told me that I was FIRST on the list for that one. Call my lawyer, quick! Wait a minute, I'll just throw a rock at their building. Cheaper, faster mode of action and more rewarding!

Wow are we splitting hairs now or what?.....

Hairs have long since been split, were nearing atoms now xD
Back on topic.

Was shooting some birds during my lunch break few days ago, an elder gentleman walks by and asks with an odd expresion: What are you doing?
Reply: Taking pictures of birds in flight, practicing.
He didnt say a word, kept looking oddly at me, then walks away shaking his head.

No idea what that was about but amused me nontheless.

Some people cannot fathom why we shoot some of the things we do, to them its a waste of time..and the world goes round & round;)

There are those who think that the only thing worth photographing is illegal...

And they think that all photographers are perverts because they think that way....

Yep, I was once in DC and saw a bunch of ducks lined up pretty well in a reflecting pool in front of Lincons memorial so I laid on the ground to get a better perspective. All my cousins thought i was weird, then some other guys did the same thing. This was before flipping screens became feature of the year lol

I was shooting a little league football game and one kid asked me if I was going to get him on TV with my lenses (1D3 and 500 f4 and 50D and 300 2.8)

That's happened to me a couple of times too. I always tell them I'm shooting for a documentary, and that usually ends the conversation. If I said "TV", they would want to know what channel!

Using a 200-400 Nikkor I mostly get "can you shoot the moon with that ?"
To which my standard reply is, yes I can.

I've had a bunch of 6 dutchman pose right in front of me asking if I could take their portrait, I told them to go to the other side of the track for that.

One time I got a freak who crawled in front of me, on his knees..to take a pic of my lens..I looked at him, which he answered with a very cheepish grin

Over the Christmas holiday I was visiting family and went out to shoot some pics when I was informed that there was a school of dolphins swimming alongside the pier, so I mounted my Bigmos to get some shots of them; as I walk up near a group that was taking pictures of the dolphins with their P&S cameras and start shooting away I hear one of them say "You might as well put your camera away-HE'S gonna get the money shots here!"
