Aside from Cypther above I don't see many photographers using the Canon 35L a lot or am I wrong? It's just when I browse the topic 'If you were to have only one lens, which one would it be?', the 35L shows up a lot. However, in this topic it's a lot less. Just curious to know why?

/ontopic: As a second shooter I use a 5D/70-200 2.8 IS II combo as well as 5DmkII/24-70 2.8 combo. (last ones are rental)

35L will be my next buy after i sell 100-400L.

When I was completely 1.6x crop, 10-22, 17-55 IS, 70-200 F/2.8 IS.
Now I'm using 1.6x and FF formats, 5D 24-70, 30D 70-200 F/2.8 IS.

Seriously considering lessening the load by switching the 70-200 for the more discreet 135 f/2L. Anyone here make the switch and have anything positive / negative to say?

I haven't updated my sig for a while but I've basically reverted to my good ole' faithfuls: 5D & 1D with 20mm, 24-105 and 70-200. 2 x 580EX with battery pack and a demb flash diffuser. No flash brackets, reflectors or tripods. Pretty simple by many others' standards, however it works for me.

I have the 135L. I shot a wedding yesterday as a second shooter and shot nothing but primes. Later this season I plan to shoot 2 FF bodies, a 50mm on one and a 135 on the other.
