Cannon EOS 7D Issue

I just got my brand new EOS 7D last week and I have been taking photos. When I go back in to view them in the camera the image is small and it says that it cannot be viewed. When I transfer the images to my computer, they are all jumbled up or there will be a thick line. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know what it is?

Could be a defective memory card. Try a new one and see if that helps.

Bad card, try a different CF... Welcome to POTN and congrats on the 7D!

Looks like a corrupted JPEG problem. Do you have another compact flash card to try? If it happens with yet another card, then something is wrong with the camera, and you should exchange it.

Careful with cards with other Canon files on them; they can change the file numbering. make sure there are no images on the 2nd card before you put it in the camera (such as if you're borrowing a compact flash card from someone).

I have 2 EOS 7Ds, both brand new, both with the same exact cards.....(same brand) and all was bought from Adorama. And both have the same issue.

You either have defective cards or there is something very wrong with your computer. The files are being corrupted somewhere along the way.

Both cards are 32GB 133X Kingston elite pro

Just to be safe, format both cards, reset the camera back to default. Shoot again. If still bad, I would be talking to Canon Service.

He said he can't view them on the camera too though. I'm thinking bad CF card...or ningkenpooped 7D

I had the SAME issue with my old 7D and old 40d
But it would only happen when i was shooting maximum fps. 8for the 7d and 6? For the 40d
It appeared as if the camera sensor was only capturing 1/2 the image before it would flush the sensor to the buffer and then to the memory card and take the next picture.
Thus causing only half the image to be retained and thus become corrupted.

The cards were fine and shown to be fine. This was an issue that a firmware was released to fix.
Be sure your 7d has the latest firmware.

Format the card on your computer and then format it on the 7D.

Kingston elite pro cards are crap, go spend the extra money on scandisk cards.

You spent all that money on two 7d and the you went woth el cheapo kingston cards.
Yes i know they are not super elcheapo, but kingston cf cards are crap.
