If you aren't comfortable with HTML or CSS coding then we have just the solution. As rickp1 mentioned there are several certified SmugMug customizers that do a great job. You can view examples and prices on the link below.

There is also the easy customization option available on the Power and Pro accounts. See link below for the easy customizer.

SmugMug is fantastic. I use flickr as well, but for the large community there and sharing personal photos. For professional / portfolio stuff, I would choose SmugMug any day over flickr.

Another vote for smugmug. Flickr is more for personal use.

Hm, you all seem to be saying that you can do advanced customization with smugmug... is that open to a basic account? My flickr pro subscription just expired and I am tired of flickr's lack of innovation (I pay your site in hopes of receiving good and improving services!). The only problem with smugmug is that I just detest the layout - it has always seemed too 1999 for me.

I've been talking to some of the customizing companies and they are reasonable with what they can do and prices.

Canon 5DMkII | 70-200mm f2.8 IS USM | 24-105mm f4.0 IS USM | 85mm f1.8 prime.

the big advantage flickr has over smugmug is the larger photo enthusiast community. but smugmug takes the prize in presentation and customization. pictures just look better in smugmug too, in my opinion.

I believe it's only available to power and pro accounts. A power account is under $50 with a coupon.

So looks like flickr is my only choice now
