would love to, but I live here for only 3 years now... I'm not Italian :)

Even better - you can write about what you are discovering about the differences with photography in Italy.

Is equipment more expensive? Are Italians more or less serious about photography? Do tourists get laughed at for photographing the same things as everyone else? You have some interesting potential topics there.

Replacing my Canon 7D, Tokina 12-24mm, Canon 17-55mm, Sigma 30mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4, and 150-500mm with a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000. I still have the 17-55 and the 30 available for sale.

Okay, so I need feedback once more.

I've implemented several changes as per your fantastic suggestions!

1. Cut down the amount of advertisement to only few ad spots. Header and footer.
2. Redesigned sidebar for less clutter and more visibility
3. Reshuffled content on the main page, so that only photography tips are displayed. no categories with few posts.
4. Article writing orientation change towards "try to do this yourself" policy.

What do you think?

Looks way better!

The articles are much more readable. How about going one step further and starting each one with a personal lead-in.

For example:
Invisibility Cloak - Last week I was forced to shoot myself in my cluttered apartment. ...

Hidden Costs - When I shelled out $800 for my first camera, I didn't realize that I was only making a small down-payment on an expensive hobby. ...

Winter Photos - I never would have guessed that my expensive camera would over-expose every one of my skiing photos. ...

Don't get me wrong, the articles are good. They just read a bit too much like a textbook for my tastes. Good move putting a photo of yourself in the top heading. Makes it feel much less like I'm being sold something.

did u see the current version too?

ty, actually I was thinking the same... but thought lines and framing look weird, cause featured image is tad longer than little 4 ones, so I was afraid it looked weird geometrically.

no I didn't see the current one, though having just looked that second image looks better for the home page still

I hate the delayed popup asking to subscribe though, those things piss me off

better off ditching that and having a visible rss/subscribe to email area and perhaps mentioning it at the bottom of each article

much less invasive
