That looks interesting, when I switched from crop to my 5Dc I never gotten around getting myself an UWA replacement. (simply because I don't use it enough, so I couldn't justify spending money on a 17-40 or better) I might want one of these Cosinas.

Well, what kind of 24-70 shots do you want to see?

It does nice floral shots (pretty close MFD):

It's nice for fun wide takes of stuff:

And it can get nice effects shooting wide open:

It can be nice at capturing a "bigger" scene:

It does very nice as a portrait lens!:

Love the high iso results on this camera. The detail retained at iso 3200 is impressive. Here's one from last weekend....a little destruction and mayhem. ISO 3200, 1/125, f/2.8, 24mm on my 24-70.

I have yet to figure out how to get to ISO 3200, mine always stops at 1600.

You have to go into Custom Functions and turn on Extended ISO (adds ISO 50 and 3200).

I forget which Custom Function # it is exactly... let me look.

EDIT: BEATEN! Thanks Brandon, I couldn't recall which. Had to run downstairs to look =)

Once you set the custom function, the camera read out will actually show "H" not 3200 when you set the ISO past 1600.

Likewise with 50 showing on the display as "L" below 100.

You guys are amazingly helpful, thank you :)

The 5D menu scares me, I need to just dive in and tweak. I did adjust it to shoot raw, and have not messed with anything else.

Most of the menu things are simple and self-explanatory -- it's the Custom Functions that get you needed to read up on things a bit. Take your time -- if you were shooting a 7D or 1D body your mind would be spinning a lot more!

Would it be to much to ask to see as much 24-70 f2.8L content shot through a 5Dc for the next couple pages?

If I've posted any of these before, I apologize

I will be picking up a 19-35 of some brand once my eBay bucks certificate comes in from buying my 5D on eBay.

Also bored, self-portrait I took before.
