the images are awesome with primes on the MkIIN..the current 50mm 1.8 i have is a real keeper. Very sharp even wide open. It didn't do too well wide open on my previous 50D though. Presumably due to the higher pixel density.

Might pick up the 5D2 or 5D again later this year when I start travelling overseas for long durations. :)

Coupled with the 24-105..it makes for a very nice travel setup.

I was at a show yesterday which had a small Canon stand, manned by a Canon engineer who evidently was an enthusiastic photographer in his own right. I had my new 7D with me and he gave me a few tips on setting and using it. I asked him whether he would use a 5DC or a 7D for a wedding, and he said on balance he would use the 7D because of the far higher pixel count. From my first week's experience with the 7D I can tell the experience would be easier with the 7D, though I have no idea yet on the quality of the output.

Which would you use?

5D & 7D (both gripped), 24-105L, 100-400L, 15-85, 50 f1.8, Tamron 28-75, Sigma 12-24, G10, EX-Z55 & U/W housing, A1+10 lenses, tripods, lighting gear, etc. etc.

Full Frame has a different quality to it IMHO, it looks better to my eye. They are both great camera's so I think in the end it depends on your style. Most people always go with whats "newer".

Even better, use both and see which photos you wound up happier with.

Nothing too special but I just made my own DIY lightbox and wanted to test it out. My son-to-be's first baby shoes. =)

Thank you. :D I'm getting anxious just waiting for him to come. My wife just took a video where he is literally kicking the Apple TV remote off of her stomach. Ha!
