So I don't normally shoot seniors bc I work for a senior photographer. She was modeling for me but these are her senior pictures. The reason being is this is her 2nd senior shoot. The original photographer has yet to deliver pictures to her (her shoot was back in oct), bc supposedly her hard drive crashed. Who knows.

Here's some samples. I was using my 580 ex ii off camera and there's one natural light shot.

2 more!

I'd love some feedback. I've been critiqued and know where I've gone wrong but other people may see other things.

the first 3 are with my 580 ex ii off camera.
The last is natural light.

#2 is the best with #3 a close second. The last shot has a nice pose but is a tad hot.

My c&c: The first one needs a tighter crop. Your subject is too far away. Number 2 is very nice, but I don't like cropping the top of her head off. I'm seeing more and more of this type crop, but here it doesn't work *for me*. And she seems a little pink. 3 is a very nice shot. I might try to dodge her eyes just a bit and warm her up just a tad. I agree the last one is a little hot. I'd tone it down and sharpen her eyes and dodge them a hair. They are all nice shots. I think she'd be pleased with all of them as is.

Thanks! So far, mom and daughter are super happy with what they've seen. Thanks for the feedback!! I really appreciate it.

Lighting is good. The first two are composed/cropped a bit strangely though in my opinion.

Yes, that was part of what my critique person told me. I was trying to be "different" but my different always comes out strange... is that a bad thing though? LOL

#1 seems empty on the left side. Like you only used one half the frame (never mind the background) subject should have been placed differently or shot recomposed.

#2 I would pan down more as it feels unbalanced because of how the head is cropped. Also one thing to note is how the image is cut along the vague center line with her shoulders and bottom on the same level.. that should be broken up to resolve the built up structure I think.

#3 nice, but pink in the face as someone has noted

#4 needs to be warmer and why is her hair too blonde? too many highlights probably..

Not crazy about the first 2 due to crops being too tight or not tight enough. Last 2 are my favs.

You need to adjust the WB on #2. The BG seems a tad green and her face is tad pink.

Pretty girl and clean shots... perhaps a reflector will help with the shadows though? They seem just a bit harsh.
