Final Cropping for Saving & Presentation

I'd like some advice on what is a good way to crop my pictures for savings and presenting.

I know that pictures need to be cropped properly for the specific size that they are going to be printed, i.e., 4x6, 8x10, etc.

What I've been doing is cropping my photo's mostly for 4x6 / 6x4, but recently have been going much larger. If I crop my pictures at the smaller size and save it there in the JPEG format - not in TIFF, I become limited at larger sizes.

Now ... when saving photo's for display online, that is a different story.

Is there a best way to save an original or a crop so that I can be assured not to limit myself in the future and can print most any size.

I'd like to generate some ideas of how others save, store, print, and present picture on line as it relates to cropping.

Yep, what Sandro said. Don't crop or resize your master files in any way.
