VERY nicely done. Creativity with track and field isn't always the easiest thing and you nailed it here.

Nice work but a bit artsy for the paper in that faces are not featured. Always remember that faces sell papers and drive page views, circulation and clicks drive ad rates and ads pay the hard working photo journalist (though never quite enough).

Love #3! Is it okay to swipe that idea for the Penn Relays? Your shots are really creative.

Really enjoy all of the shots. These new angles are great and would do well, I think, in the student paper.

Great photos! I'm about to head out the door to shoot my first track meet and jumped on here for some pointers and inspiration. Your post was top of the list. Thanks for sharing.

Quick ?: What lens on #1? (full or crop frame, too?)

Can you take my picture on some railroad tracks?! No, that's illegal now. I'm really sorry.

Thanks, shot with a Tokina 10-17mm on a crop frame (40D). Good luck with the shoot!

I've run a lot of track and shot a lot of track and your creativity here blows me away. #1 the most but I like 3 and 5 the best.
