Gotta love this site-- it really gives the socially challenged a venue to show their true colors.
Dan-O - from this lowly amateur - your pictures are an inspiration to continue shooting and improving.
DAllen- I looked at your web site-- VERY unimpressive (but that's from a lowly amateur). ;)

I like them all, particularly number 8 with the slow shutter speed.
By experimenting like this photography can be fun.

No, I worked really hard to get some nice images of the last event only to find that print sales were not supporting the time and effort involved.

I'm sure there are other types of cycling events around here, (local racing scene) I just haven't taken the time to connect with the cycling community . . .

Shooting other sports . . .

Besides, it didn't matter how hard I tried my images just weren't as good as yours, so I just gave up . . . :D

Haha funny.

It took me awhile to build up to the point I'm at. Print sales alone are worth it for me to show up every weekend but I've been getting more and more work for teams directly, which is where it is at. Arizona cycling scene is a little more spread out then is Cali. I'm pretty much 40 miles, or better, from a race every weekend.

Danny, LOVE them all! Thanks for injecting the beauty of my favorite sport into the deep, dark, and seemingly endless Illinois winter. :D

Great shots all around.

A personal pet-peave... I dislike the shots from inside the corner with the wide angle lens. It makes the rider look like they are riding a tiny toy bike and just kills the shot for me. The trouble ... of course... is that the background perspective on the shot looks great.
