Yes would love to see some pix. I will have my first wedding in Septembe and I am a total newbie so your question was one of the same for me! Thank you for the feedback you received. I'm really nervous about it too. Did you do an engagement shoot?

I always try to see the venues 1st and get an idea of the lighting in each place a few hours before the day starts..

The most stressful part of the day is catching the bride coming in, down the aisle and leaving. The rest is slightly more relaxed. So get light setting for those situations. I try not to use flash but if I do it's generally fill. Getting to a setting where I can dail up or down the aperture to control the amount of flash and usually trying to bounce it. I am not great with flash either, but practice makes perfect..

I would say I switch between AV and manual mode. AV normally over compensating by 1 stop. You can't miss those key moments of the day, so practice and prepare for those, find spots you know you want to go to during the ceremony or entrance and exit, makes life easier.

Church, it was soo dark, streets at night have more light. I didn't even ask, just put flash on and used it. Used the gary fong lightsphere and ISO 500 - 800. Don't like going any higher on the Markii. Adjusting White balance / exposure in raw, most turned out very well.

I was like this but did a few tests at ISO 3000 and reduced noise in PS. The images look fine especially on the MKII. Now if it was my old 350D I wouldn't have even bothered...

Please don't do that again. This is why many churches have restrictions for photographers. One photographer can ruin it for the rest of us.
