Owfin's Gear
I only include gear I currently use.
Cameras:
Rebel XS/1000D: If you are looking at Canon DSLRS, it's about as low end as you can get. I'm fine with that. "Cheap and cheerful" is my mantra.
Lenses (The Cheapo Trio):
EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS: The kit lens. Pretty good quality, although, never having touched an L lens, I'm not sure how it compares. It focuses incredibly closely.
EF 50mm f/1.8 II: Nifty fifty can have amazingly shallow depth of field (I actually love the pentagonal bokeh) and is the fastest of the three, but it doesn't focus very closely.)
EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS:Nifty two-fifty is the newest addition to my lens collection. The longest focal length that I had ever used before was 60mm on a compact camera, so the first time I picked this up and zoomed in, I thought, "Wow!".
Bags:
Lowepro Flipside 300: Feels comfortable. Looks sharp and fits my narrow back. Fits everything I have with room to spare. Other backpacks similar to this are $100 or more. Made me not use commas for once.
