WARNING!!

Well I guess it had to happen sooner or later. I had a shoot today with a newer model. A nude shoot. She arrived and I think was unhappy shooting at a hotel. On a bed, and had a really hard time being nude.

Would not hold a pose. She would take up a new pose I would stand to adjust the hair and Key light to optimize her new pose and turned back around she had moved again.
Did not want to get undressed. When she finally did she kept covering herself and not holding a pose and would not take direction.

She spent 20 mins of the first hour shoot in the bathroom. Refused to remove her panties. After an hour of this I said “hey if you can’t get comfortable we are going to need to call it quits”. She went ballistic.

Started demanding full payment and threatened to call the COPs. Unsure for what? But it was ugly and scary. So I paid her the full amount and she left screaming obscenities. I am actually sitting here shaking! Damn I have been in combat and do not remember being this stressed.

It was just a nude shoot. Damn.... I have done nearly a 100 of them just like this.

I think I am going to go to the police station and file a report. I may have just been robbed by a skinny little girl with big blue eyes.

Not saying you should do this (but you may just want to ;) ).... if it were me, I'd put her on BLAST. I've done that before when a model stood me, and her agent up for a shoot, and nearly cost me a grand. I put her ass on blast on the web and warned any possible producers against shooting with her. She brought it on herself. It's my understanding that she quit modeling soon after.

Again, not suggesting you do the same... just telling how I handled a similar situation.

Did you slowly work her into the nude part? Just a note I always take an assistant to help them feel at ease about being naked alone. It would probably help to have a lady asst with you in cases like this.

I always meet with the model ahead of time if possible, review her port to make sure she can provide me with the images I want/need, and make it clear right from the start what we intend to get out of the shoot. I'm not suggesting you didn't do these things, but this process has, I'm sured, saved me quite a bit of grief over the years.

I don't feel the need to have an escort - I don't mind them and I often have an assistant during my shoots, but I'm not doing anything wrong by shooting and by vetting the model ahead of time I greatly reduce my risk of a "she said" situation.

There are risks of working with models alone, especially in an environment outside of a studio. Working at a hotel with a nude model can certainly be problematic. when your purpose is not clearly obvious to an outsider or the police. This is another reminder to check references and reputation of your models, and to post a warning on your MM account profile page.

How did you find this model? Why did you pay her the full amount?

Next time bring a female assistant, then offer to call the cops for the model that goes off the rocker...

MM really should implement a feedback system.... I know people put "bad to deal with" lists in their profile but that doesn't cut it.

I doubt he demanded. I'm sure he was professional about it.

If a model & photog consult each other on theme then it's understood what attire will be or won't be necessary. Model should have laundered money from the photog by scaring him with police threats.

She shouldn't haven taken the job. Careful vetting of potential clients is definitely recommended.
