Oops. 8/10. Most would say its too dark but i actually love the darkness of it.

Shot I took of a friend in Long Beach, CA around 10pm

Love the setting, although the subject is a bit bland. well i guess it's not her exactly, just what she is wearing, kinda says I'm cold, but not really cause I'm wearing shorts. overall it's a great spot to shoot portraits in the future. Also love the expression on her face, says to me she's gazing, looking for something non-tangible. 8/10

I'm not rating a photo just making a comment about this thread. Some people are adding comments about photos further back and in my opinion it is getting confusing trying figure out what to rate. Is there anyway that those comments could be sent privately? That would keep this thread nice and clean and easier to understand.

Canon 60D since Dec. 2011, Canon 28-135mm lens, Canon 70-300mm USM lens and Nifty Fifty 50mm 1.8 lens. Just got in a new lens: Tamron 18-270mm ; )

Ok, now you got me adding comments when I shouldn't be. The rating for your photo is right below it. This is what it says "Love the setting, although the subject is a bit bland. well i guess it's not her exactly, just what she is wearing, kinda says I'm cold, but not really cause I'm wearing shorts. overall it's a great spot to shoot portraits in the future. Alrighty then. Here's my rating for your photo 6/10 Great bokeh but not sure what the subject is?

QUOTED IMAGE

I like the history behind the photo (sod roofed cabin) but I think the log that sticks out into the sky kind of throws my eye off a bit. I do think it's exposed nicely and I like the texture of the grass. I'll say 5/10.

I haven't played for a while so here it goes. I love the car very very nice. The background looks like it was blurred in post and I don't like it. If I'm wrong I still don't like it. 9/10 for the sexy car.

Event Photo, no flash 70-200 f2.8.

Really like the feel of this one I just wish his feet weren't cut off. 8/10

Same event, Al Gore this time. I think it would make a good caption contest photo?

Caption contest indeed! "I got your cause of global warming riiiiiiight here." Nice and sharp and knowing there's not a lot you can do with stage lights, I'd give it a good 8/10

Great photo, good use of tone mapping, filters, or HDR (whatever you used to even out the exposure -- HDR, I'm guessing?). I have to dock 1pt for excessive flare though, and .5pts for a less-than-picturesque foreground. 8.5/10!
