I don't do a lot of editing, but I took the first pic of my daughter and her family when we visited them in Tucson on Thanksgiving. After getting back to Vegas, I had my wife take one of me (same settings, outside at night). I used the clone tool in GIMP to put myself in the shot, and we used it for our Christmas card :D.

The hardest part was resizing the picture of me just the right amount; cloning was pretty easy.

I would never have been able to tell that you weren't in the shot originally. good job with the editing!

Great job adding yourself in, I would just tweak the snowflakes a bit. The snowflake that is on your shoulder and the one overlapping between you and the red sweater are a little off. I think if it had been real you wouldn't see the edge in the middle of the flake. Also, the extra flakes you added in don't quite match the original flakes. Other than that, great job!

I don't know... you can see the folds of the blanket through the one large flake there. But I admit to them not matching; the edges are too sharp on the ones I added (and a little too round). But it's not noticable on the printed product.
