DR-2 user here. Mine has two bumpers per side. I thought that was standard on all Black Rapid straps.

If you want a solution that keeps the camera away from little kiddies and doesn't flap about when you lean forward you might look at the Cotton Carrier. I've got one of those too. No swinging at all. :)

Don't forget that BR also has a women's version. Shaped slightly different to contour a woman's body a little better.

I don't think you're over weight.... Just under height.

Good point. That's the problem with all that gear weighing me down. I gain about a foot when I take that lot off.

I personally have two black zip ties on that buckle, or you can go for this

great idea. I just got mine and put it on the camera and thought "really? that's kind of dumb". Who exactly is that buckle for? The wearer can't use it! Seems like an obvious cost reduction.

Won't go back to a regular strap... BR straps work great for me.

Agree, what a world of difference!

Just got my sport strap today...so far I really like it...is it better than the RS7? Well I don't know for sure because my camera is with Canon right now! Can't wait to fully test it when it comes back. Initial impression is that it is smaller than I expected, quite comfortable and the brad strap seems to work well if needed.

What aspect of Sport do you like better than RS-7 + BRAD?
Thx

The contour of the sport is even more pronounced and so seems to sit on my shoulder more and stays farther from my neck. The padding also seems to further spread out the weight over my shoulder. Again, these are preminary observations without being able to mount my camera(I just pulled on the strap to simulate weight.

I have the Sport as well and really dig it. It worked extremely well under my jacket at the recent St Paddy's Day Parade. The camera was easily accessible when needed, and out of sight and safe when at my side. I did have one incident when I leaned over to play with my son and it bonked him, but other than the user error it's great.

I feel bad when I see other people hanging big lenses around their neck and have no idea about these straps.

i looked at these straps and even tried one on. It is really nice. The logistics though (at this point in my life) of being forced to only use one shoulder to hold the camera is just unrealistic for me. Later on, I will get it...or something similar...thanks all for your wonderful input!

Aloha. Will an extra 7D (LP-E6) battery or 2 fit in any of the RS-5 pockets?

It looks (from pics and the video) like they will fit just fine in either one of the Joey's if I decide to go with the RS-7 instead.

Thanks guys.
