One of the heads I got in the used lot I purchased does not have a switch on the head to turn the modeling lamp on and off. Is it an older head or something?

Some older Speedotron heads have no modeling light switch. I don't have that particular model.

I'll get some photos. I may have some free time this evening.

You know how there's the button looking circular object that's not a button and then the switch? Well, it has the circular object and the place where the switch would go, but no switch. There's no cut out or anything.

And I had two modeling lights go with heads plugged into a 1205 pack. Could it be because it was connected to a ****ty power source? The flash bulbs are fine, but the pack wouldn't even turn on in one outlet, so I had to move it to another. That was shooting in a clients home that obviously was no older than 10 years, maybe even less than 5, so I don't understand where this would come from.

It's a 202VF, so unless there was a redesign on them, then that would be the only way. I bought them used from a studio.
