Pretty much indistinguishable from new, I got my 7D refurbished and I can really find no faults with it.

I also got my 7d from the Canon Loyalty Program (CLP) around the beginning of 2011 and it seemed brand new. I haven't checked the shutter count on Linux but the body seems to be in great shape and the screen still had its plastic cover on it and all of the dials/controls feel really tight.

or the cameras, that's great. At least for the 5D Mark II and 7D, they did not raise prices. This makes it a great deal for a 5D Mark II and even the PowerShot cameras such as the S90 and S95.

However, for the lens, they are tricking you. At least for the lens I have been tracking, they raised their prices.

For example, a week ago a Canon EF 24-105 f/4L IS USM went for $827.28 + Tax + Shipping.

Today, it is $919.20, so with the 10% off, it is $827.28 + Tax + Shipping, defeating the purpose.

A week ago, the Canon EF-S 60 Macro went for $338.39 + Tax + Shipping.

Today, it is $379.99, and with the 10% off, it is $341.99 + Tax + Shipping. It ends up being more expensive today with the coupon code than it was last week without.

Anyone know how this would work for a UK buyer? Would the warranty work?

Some of the better (higher priced) lenses that sold out last week are back in stock. There might be a little time left to purchase one.

Is it just me or is shipping expensive through canon? $16 bucks? Maybe i'm just used to amazon prime and B&H free shipping too much.

This is no deal for me, even with the 10% discount. The tax kills it, along with shipping.

I was looking at the 85L which gets down to below 1600$ after rebate, but goes up $130 with tax.

Sucks, would of been nice!

That's $1730, As far as I know they're now selling for $2089 new, still quite a bargain.

Yes it is compared to new, but I have seen mint, few month old 85L II's sell for $1500-1600 shipped.

I just wish they didn't charge tax. I never get charged tax with online orders... :)

Alright, well... I bit the bullet.

85L will be here in two days. :D

My final cost will be about $1680 after rebates to my door.

Yeah, killer deal on the 5DMKII. I just ordered a 50L since it came back in stock. $1230 shipped with a 90 day warranty. Basically better than buying anything used out there with NO warranty!

After the cashback kicked in, it was closer to $1880 shipped. .

How can I get a cashback deal? Are you talking about AMEX?

Speaking of which, I've gotten a lot of refurb lenses and bodies from canon... Never a scratch on them anywhere. I've always wondered if they replaced slightly scratched screens and outer elements before sending them back into circulation.
