Hey all, hope all is well!
So here are the latest from this past weekend. Weather was nice. It was a blast again, everyone was very kind, and didn’t mind participating in my project. Lots of younger people out this weekend… it was fun how much some of them really got into it.
A small note - I’ve change the name of this project from “100 Strangers Project” to the new name of “A Strangers Project” Reason: I’m enjoying this project so much that I don’t want to stop at 100, lol…

Anyway, here’s the photo’s and enough of my mumbling.
All shot with the 135L & natural light:

Awesome concept and great photos to go along with it. Do you just approach them and ask to take the shot for your project?

Great photos and series. If someone only saw these pictures of people in NJ and nothing else they would think that NJ is all good looking people. Hhhhhmmmm....maybe I need to visit. :)

He certainly does favour the beautiful people. I'm ok with that though :)

Another great set - and they do seem to get better each time you go out. I'm wondering how much has to do with upgraded/changed equipment (from 7D + Sigma 50 ---> a few changes ---> 5D mkII + 135L) and how much is purly improving tallent.

BTW, that last shoot looks straight out of GQ.

Lol… I prefer to call them ‘photogenic’ people. But I view a person as ‘photogenic’ for a variety of different reasons.

Take Stranger No. 34 – He's no model, but just something about him made me think “I just gotta capture this guy!”

It could be their style of clothing... or a funky hat they are wearing, or just a certain ‘look’ they have… I think I was in a scarf kick this past weekend. Everyone wearing a scarf caught my eye, lol

Whats fun about this project is all of the interesting people you get to meet.

I must say, I was absolutley terrified my first venture out, but now, while still nervous, I look forward to each shoot.

You have a knack for this to be sure. Excellent shots, and all very natural and interesting. It's been asked a few times I think, but how are you approaching these individuals? If you've answered already I apologize (but could somebody point me back to it?). I'm intrigued.

I showed my wife your shots and she was blown away at how each shot brought out the subject's personality. Also so she knows I'm not stalking people I showed her your threads as inspiration; I'm going to head out soon when the weather gets non-arctic and give these a go, and will hopefully overcome some introverted tendencies.

Thanks. So pretty much just being polite and asking permission. Well great job and keep at it.
