Skygod, you OK?

Very good question, give us a heads up mate. Hoping it's only your comms. that are down.

Thanks guys, but I almost feel guilty by saying that we didn't even feel any quakes this far south - we're something like 1000kms south-west of Tokyo and on a completely different tectonic plate.

There are a few POTN members up north who can see the destruction first-hand, which must be terrifying, but I'm pleased to see them active on the forums....so at least, as far as I've been able to total up, all the POTNers are safe.

Regards to all,

Simon & family
:-)

Glad to see you and others reporting in from Japan, Simon.

I first saw the news reports and was taken aback, literally, just days ago.

The whole situation from a Western viewpoint is nearly inconceivable,
yet it is wholly real, and I mourn the situation. Such wholesale destruction
and madness on a large scale of Mother Nature...

My heartfelt condolences and blessings are even now reaching their way
unto the traumatized people of Japan. I can not imagine such a catastrophe,
but it is my wish that my condolences will be received and appreciated by all
who may be affected by the horrible trauma. I trust you can accurately convey
my sympathies to your neighbors and comrades, Simon.

With blessings,
SkedAddled.

RIP all those who perished in this nightmare up north. My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to them and their loved ones.

I second that sentiment...and a great shot to keep us all focused on thinking of those who have sadly lost their lives in the last few days.

Thanks Craig, and as far as I can tell, every POTN-Japan member is OK, albeit "shaken....not stirred".

The grave of Anne Carter Lee, beloved daughter of CSA General Robert E. Lee. she died in North Carolina during the 2nd year of the war. General Lee visited her gravesite in 1870, the same year of his death. Here is a bit more info on her:
