I'm looking for a bag to travel and use at tracks.

Stuff that needs to go in the bag:

7D with grip
430ex 2
70-200 2.8L IS USM
17-40 1:4L USM
28-135 IS USM
then lots of small parts.

Bag or backpack? Laptop or no? I've carried similar kit in a TT Streetwalker Harddrive, a TT Retrospective 30, a Timbuk2 Snoop or a Gura Gear Kiboko. I like them all but obviously they have different strengths and weaknesses. If I'm traveling with a laptop I go with the Streetwalker Harddrive, without a laptop and wanting to bring as much as possible or heading on a trail I take the Kiboko. If I'm ging to be on foot and want something quick to shoot from it's the Retrospective or the Snoop if it's raining.

I have a similar setup to yours and up until a week ago, I was using the Lowepro Flipside 300. After I got lens #4 though, it was just too small to hold everything so I switched to the Think Tank Streetwalker Pro. Its dimensions are a little larger than the Flipside 300 but holds much more.

If I were you, I'd check out the Streetwalker Pro or the Flipside 400. The 300 might be doable for you but you'd need to do some creative rearranging with the inserts. (My 300 is for sale BTW).

Take a look at the Domke F2 or the somewhat larger F1x or F7 Double AF. You'll be able to shoot easily out of any of them.
