can anyone help me figure this out?

I am seriously NOT techno savvy.. but have used the pocket wizards before and found them to be very basic; they went out and as a cheap alternative I ordered the MK-Rc7 no experience with these. it is showing that they are synced signal when shutter is released but no flash.

I am shooting with canon 40D and using White Lightning Ultra 1800 monolight. cannot get the flash to trigger even when pressing the rx manually. help!?!?

is something wrong with the product or is a setting I am missing??

I read all the reviews but most of is foreign to me.. I have a very limited knowledge of how all this works.

You could try a few things.

1) change to a fresh set of batteries in the transmitter and receiver.

2) press the button on the receiver (make sure it's turned on) with the monolight attached to it, this should trigger it, if it doesn't then you might have the incompatibility problem.

2) change the dip switch settings on the transmitter and receiver, both to a new combination (make sure they match).

3) try the receiver with a different flash attached, do you have a Canon Speed Lite flash to test the units with.

4) make sure the receiver is turned on, before you turn on the flash unit.

OK Tiffany you can relax. It's not you, received mine a few days ago and have the same problems. Not even working in wired mode. Waiting another reply from LinkDelight

I am totally not trying to sound like an ass here, but I literally did this - make sure it is in the camera the right way. I accidentally put it in backwards - duh and it didnt work. Again, this may sound like a really dumb thing, and it is in my case, but could be your problem?!

You are not alone here, I ordered two set and waiting more that month to get to me. One set will work perfectly but got miss fire sometimes. The second set doesn't want to cooperate at all. No problem with the transmitter but the receiver will not fire the flash. The unit power on, receiver the signal from the transmitter but does not fire the flash. I contacted the saler LinkDelight, got the first email tell me to change the battery. Second email asked me to describe to them how I used the set. So, I did and the last reply I got was they want me to sent it back for exchange. It will cost me an addition shipping fee and a long month to wait. At the end I still don't know if the unit I will receive will work, so I bought the canon ST-E2.
You did not do something wrong, you got a faulty unit. You can sent it back if you don't mind to wait again or move on with a different brand.

This is not working with the new metal foot YN-560 for me. Has anyone else had problems?

It works just fine with my YN-468 but not with my brand new 560. I have a YN-04 II trigger also which works with the 560 but the Meike doesn't :( Here I was looking forward to the 2.4GHz transmitter but I'll have to use it with my old 433MHz.

I need to buy an adapter 3pin -> pc sync or whatever they're called, to trigger the flash with the Meike.

I wouldn't be surprised if the YN-560 still wouldn't work. I tried getting my QDC-900's and 430EZ to work with the external cord and no luck.

I canceled the addional receiver I ordered as I don't want to bother with them anymore. I will just use them with my 430EX's for now and also as a long range shutter release.

I just don't get it why it doesn't work, since it works with the YN-468 and it works with the old model of the 560 with the plastic foot according to a review I found. tried taping over the bottom part of the foot but didn't help :(

I scratched my head for awhile on my QDC900's and 430EZ as well. The only thing I can figure out is that the flash is not detecting enough of a short across the terminals. No short = no flash.

It appears some flashes are more sensitive to the resistance drop than others... like my 430 EX/EXII and older Quantaray. It's a shame because the Meike's work amazing from all testing I've done. The false trigger rate is perfect, the range is very good and so far I haven't had either 430EX fail to flash when triggered. Some of the other radio triggers suffer from all of the above. The fit and finsh is very good as well.

Wow I get more misfires with this thing than with my YN-04 (Have to try changing the channels to see if that helps). I guess I'll just have to get the updated Yongnuo tranciever when it's released.

This thing doesn't even work if I mount it on top of my YN-04 II with the YN triggering one flash and the Meike another. But the passthrough does work if I mount a flash on top of the YN-04. I'm a bit annoyed now, frankly this thing is crap. I would have loved to use AAA batteries in my trigger set but it's not working out.

I got my replacement set 2 days ago. RX unit works, (with a Canon 270) but I've got intermittent TX problems. There's a lot of play with the TX mounted on the MK4's hotshoe and it seems to be causing a contact problem.

Sorry to bring back an old post, but these things are just problems. These are being used on a 1D4. When taking the first pic the TX will not send a signal, but will on the second shutter release. If I leave the camera alone for a few minutes, the same happens. I I fire the shutter within a short period, the TX works correctly. I tried the triggers on an old A-1 and the triggers work on the first shutter release and any after that.
I have exactly the same problem when the TX is connected to the PC port instead of the hotshoe.
Obviously there's an issue with these triggers and the 1D4.
Anybody else have this issue?

I have the same issue with my 500D, flashes won't fire for the first picture if the camera's been idle for a while but works ok from the second onwards

I sent an email 2 days ago to Linkdelight. I bought them from them this winter. Haven't heard from them yet. I started looking into the Radio Poppers!

I bought mine from the same supplier as you. I think I'll go for Cactus V5 transievers soon. They seem pretty good and I like fact they have a locking mechanism.

Mine are flawless with the 430EX/580EX and one old Quantaray. They don’t however work with my Quantaray QDC900WA’s or older 430EZ. It appears the resistance drop across the main pin is not enough to trigger them.

I sent an email to Link Delight last weekend and they're response seems to indicate the receivers they are shipping now will work with 3rd party flashes. They offered to exchange mine for the new ones but return shipping costs as much as just buying new ones.

I went ahead and ordered 1 new receiver so we'll see how it goes. The range is very good and I’ve not had any miss-fires so I really hope this will solve the problem. I’ve also had no issues using them as wireless remotes to trigger my cameras (7D, T1i) which is good.

My new reciever finally arrived and sadly, it operates the same as the other 2. Lesson learned... and future buyers beware of the limitations.
