Ummm.... What on earth has happened to this place....

It was destroyed by the Mods, too bad too. I have learnt a lot about photography and made many new friends in the aussie threads.

Yes it is a shame, a tightly knit community. Unlike others, we are more capable of moving on. Let's just leave it at that.

It does seem like that. Bugger, I rather liked this place for the same reasons you mentioned.

Anyway I'm off to see if I can get some shots of the Army Tiger attack choppers that just came into town for an exercise.

Leave it Dangus... time to move on.

Now, where's the best place to buy a 1D IV at the moment? DDP seems to be out of stock quite often these days...

What is it that we used to do that seems to have gotten everyone mad? Is it all still the same except we can't say anything is for sell?

That, and don't take the piss, should the moderators make their presence known. No-one wins a DSW with the mods.

It was destroyed by people, such as yourself, who don't believe they are subject to the same rules the rest of the Forum is.

There are a number of people who have complained in the past (and are continuing to do so now) that they are expected to abide by the POTN rules Pekka set up to apply to ALL members, not just those in the Northern Hemisphere. When they do so publicly and get spanked for it, they must expect the consequences. Behave yourselves and you won't even know we're here. Editorialize, or try to publicly argue that you know the rules better than we do, and expect to find yourself on vacation.

This place is dead, destroyed by powertrippers and their enablers.

That, and don't take the piss

Taking the piss is part of Australian culture - it belongs in any Australian environment. Anyone who can't handle it denigrates Australian culture.

Yes Justin, you have. You did it with this post.

The rule;

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THESE RULES THEN DO NOT DISCUSS IT IN THE FORUM. CONTACT AN ADMINISTRATOR OR MODERATOR AND PRESENT YOUR REASONING TO THEM

is found in the penultimate paragraph of the Forum Rules of Use.

This rule is taken seriously. Violating in can result in disciplinary action up to and including a permanent ban.

Bless the recently fallen and their family and friends.
I have a Cannon with me at all times. You can't take the shot if you don't have something with which to shoot.
