OK, Joayne, I won't make you wait any longer! "Wounded" Nifty arrived in Jasper last Friday, one our before the start of my work week. I was a little disappointed to see an internal part of the lens outside of the lens as well as some debris between the lens elements, however, Nifty takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

Nope, it's gathered in the spring.

When it starts to warm up the 'anti-freeze' starch that the trees use to keep from freezing starts to be converted into sugar. Water brought up from the ground mixes with it and forms sap. I collect it and make all kinds of sugary things :)
