That last one's great, Luke. Love the composition.

I like the second one a lot as well. The lighting/exposure are very good, and the expression/emotion are great. Feels like it needs to be rotated a degree or two to the right, though.

She is a GORGEOUS girl! you should have seen her before she got pregnant, and still, shes into 8 months now, and sometimes you can barely see her belly.

Lighting was a Canon 430EXii as main on a softbox in her face axis on top, and rim was an Alien Bee 800 at low power ;)
Let me know what you guys think :)

These are two pictures that I took for a foundation called Tiny Light, they set up photographers who do a session for a family at no charge because of the life situation of one of their children. Most of the people Tiny Light refers to photographers are kids with some type of illness that has been a big burden on the family, and these photo shoots are just a nice gesture, sometimes family with a child with an illness don't take time to do the normal family shoots and whatnot. This is Joshua, unfortunately by means of the agreement with Tiny Light I cannot tell you his story, but it was a great shoot and I had a great time with the family. Your thoughts on the pictures?

Really like these. captures that age really well!

And a great cause. Having lived through chronic issues with kids in our household, your are absolutely right that parents can forget to do the "normal" things. Great that you do this.

I would love to do this if I were a bit more accomplished.

800s and 1600s should both be able to kill the sun.

Thanks guys. Obviously they will be a heck of a lot better than 580's. Now if the fricken vagabond Mini would ship, i would be very very happy.

I would have rather two 800's or one 800 and one 1600.

Getting a gel onto a light with the V2 PLM would be difficult.
I've never tried it. Maybe figure a way to get it around the diffusion dome. Making sure the modeling light it off.
