I did a real-life test of my copy this weekend. Still don't know what to think. I LOVE the image (those colours!!!), but approx. 30% of pictures are misfocused. So random...
Anyway, here are some samples from a local moto show:

Wide open on a 7d. I recently went for a trip in Budapest and had only this lens with a 7d. It is the most versatile L prime lens one can have on a crop camera

My copy needed +10 microadjustment and still missfocuses when i shoot objects wide open and over 3-4 meters away. At close objects it is ok wide open. Has anyone else had this problem?

awesome shots!
so there are adapters for EF lenses with external aperture control?? :O
One of the reasons why I haven't even considered those mirrorless cameras
is because of the lack of that kind of adapters :(

Newworld - how well does that adapter work? In saw the same thing for micro 4/3. Does the aperture cause heavy vignettung? Or does it even improve sharpness?

I suspect the adapter does fairly well in approximating where the lens would normally be on a Canon SLR body in relation to the sensor. Though you probably still have to treat it with 1.5x crop factor. (But I could be wrong).

Thank you .. I like to use such mirrorless camera because it's more compact and only for almost "static" subjects

This adapter seems to work fine with wide angle lenses ... and be less efficient with long length lenses.

Because it's compactness it's usuable on a narrow restaurant's table during a meal. just some more tests from this week end.
