Yellowstone wolves, a typical picture??

Spent last weekend in Yellowstone. The only road open to cars is from Mammoth to Cook City on the NE side. I worked here in 1976 but that was before the wolves were reintroduced.

The Lamar valley wolf packs have been famous for years. With the snow they were easy to spot but a very long way away. We were the only ones there at the time so we watched them for 15 minutes, unfortunately, they never got any closer. The next day more were seen on the ridge behind these wolves. Small dots even with a spotting scope.

These was taken with my 70-300mm Canon.

even though they're a long way off the 2nd pic especially is lovely. Pity it's a bit noisy, can you fix that at all, I am not crash hot with editing.

I was thinking they were coyotes as well. They're still good pictures, never-the-less
