I just have a cheap pocket knife a former company gave me and "Eddie" the machete which I keep in my car.

Leatherman Wave for when I don't have my toolbox.
Kershaw Leek for the small stuff.
Zero Tolerance 301 for the serious stuff.

My recommendation for a good camera bag knife is either a Swiss army knife, or a leatherman.

Personally I carry a victorinox alox classic on my keys, and an alox electrician in my pocket.

I do sometimes carry a multi tool, either a swisstool or leatherman juice on my belt.
My laptop bag has a leatherman wave in it, and a victorinox huntsman (glow scales)

Knives and flashlights are two of my hobbies, so I have a large collection to choose from, my favorite knives are the bark river gunny, and spyderco TI ATR.

If your carrying a knife in your bag, you should probably have a flashlight too.
Fenix and 4sevens have some great lights, that won't break the bank (and if your not used to what a good modern flashlight can do, will blow you away (even the keyring size ones))

I have a 4sevens Quark123(2) and I'm lovin' it. Battery life is amazing (I think I've changed batteries 3 times in 2 years? And I use it very frequently, especially when camping).

Not a fan of Fenix though, had one of their smaller lights, dropped it on the ground ONCE, and broke. It ain't no SureFire... I've dropped my Quark plenty of times and scratches are all it suffered.

mine are Leatherman Charge Ti, and my big boy woods knife the Cold Steel Trail Master San Mai III. In love with that knife. No photos yet though. Just a couple from a few of my fathers hunts.

Both of my fenixes are still running, some of the guys on Candlepowerforums did destruction tests on some of the early TK series lights, up too shooting it (which destroyed it) and zapping one with a big Tesla coil (which didn't kill it), your fenix sounds like a dodgy solder joint or something, that should have been fixed under warranty.

Personally I prefer surefire, although the light with the most carry hours on it would easily be my novatac edc120p 4ish years in my pocket or in a belt holster.


Here is a few of my knives.

Bark River Gunny, black micarta with bloody basin spacer and mosaic pins and a glow in the dark fire steel and one by itself

I'm waiting patiently for the delivery of a Cold Steel bushman blade that I ordered. It's a 12 1/4" knife with a 7" fixed blade, and a hollow handle. Since I shoot a lot in the wild, I think it'll be perfect for my needs.

Wow I never though my TM had value on a photo forum. We can probably trade knives for lenses here. NICE
