Having shot the same event with a 10D, 30D and 50D, I'm really blown away by the performance of the 7D. For the first time I've been able to stick it on AI servo and be confident that the camera will be able to keep up with the action. Very impressed!

For the most part I was using a 300mm f4L, but sometimes switched to a 70-200f4L when the 300 was a bit too close. Perhaps the best decision I made was to get a 2-stop neutral density filter, which allowed me to shoot wide open but keep the shutter speed relatively low.

Some great shots there. I'm just going through all mine from the weekend. Interesting to hear your comments about the 7D. Been looking at getting one for a while, maybe it's time to stop looking :)
