Out playing in he sun with miss Emily as the subject. She did a pretty great job of it. No flash were used. I was trying to over powering the un with one of the speedlite. That didn't do stood job of it. Tried to keep the sky without over exposing it and at the same time having a great light source for my subject wasn't a go this time around. looks like I'll need more than one speedlite next time. With the shutter speed cranked up as high as it can go, my flash was powerless. How does the pro do it? I ended up using nothing but the natural light source, no reflector was used what so ever.

Looks like you used the 70-200 MkII, am I right?

Come to think of it, the last one looks more like 17-40...

Gorgeous little girl. I think the pp is nicely done and has come out looking lovely and natural. You've rescued hher face from the shadows very nicely.

40D, 24-70 2.8L , some other suff too but it hasn't seen the light of day since the 24-70 arrived ;)

I think the natural light here is great. No real need for a flash in my opinion.

Great photos. Looks like she really likes the attention too. Consider yourself lucky.

Yeah she did most of the posing herself. She was very cooperative. It was good that she gave me some of her time eventhough she wanted to go play more.
