lol i guess it has im still laughing about the simple fix well i guess it's a learning process i have only been at this photography hobby for 2 months now i learned way to much for a rookie :) .

Flash sync is only 1/200 (or maybe 1/250) I don't know how you were shooting 1/640.
Flash will only flash as much as is needed to make photo come out. If flash flashed 100% power, it must recover 100%. wider aperture and slower shutter will allow flash to not flash fully (Maybe 50 power)and recover quicker.
