My friend Eric Presten writes a series of books called Vintage Flyer. He got word that the plane was on it's way to the Museum of Flight in Seattle, and arranged to meet with Clay Lacy at Sacramento Exec. He gave me a call to see if I wanted to go, the rest is from the shoot. We had only one turn to get it right, and Lacy was gone for Seattle.
