I have a Rebel XT and yesterday the battery door fell apart. Its the piece that makes the latch. Is there somewhere I can get it replaced?

Thanks in advance.

Jon

I second rsheele. I purchased XTi with grip, but my wife wanted w/out grip so it's lighter. The battery door was missing when I took off the grip, so I did exactly that. Bought generic battery door via eBay and it's been working perfectly.

I have a battery grip on mine. I don't think I remember where I put the original battery door otherwise I'd send you mine. It's been off for 6 years now. They're all over eBay however.

There is a place on the grip to store the door. IF you were smart, that is where the door should be.

E-bay market place is your best bet, you can find used / replacement door for $20.00 or less.

The battery door is designed to be removable, are you sure it just hasn't knocked loose.
All you need to do is align the left anchor point, pull back the spring loaded pin and lock it into the right anchor point.
