I took my youngest to the Whitelee Wind Farm on the weekend. And took a series of photos of her.

Windfarms are about future sustainability and my youngest is my future. I love the light in the first image making it look like she lights up the world - which of course she does do for me in reality.

It was a lovely afternoon and Sophia took in a lot about how electricity is created and she just loved the open moor and windmills.

No. 1 is amazing, I think. But the (what appears to be) dust is very distracting.
(I come from a film background, and it looks like your negative was dirty.)

It looks like trailing pollen (or something?) to me, so it's not at all distracting. If it was in front of her it would be a different story.

I don't disagree that it was actually there and was something she kicked up. But my eye still goes straight to the little white specs rather than to subject and otherwise beautiful composition. (Thankfully, dusty negatives are not too much of a problem on this forum :) )

Thanks all - I pondered whether or not to dust bust in Lightroom. However I quite like the focus effect of the water dropets so left them in. The moor was damp (this is Scotland) and she said her foot went straight into the water which of course she picked up in her shoe.

These are at about 7m with the Canon 70-200mm F2.8 IS. Shot at F2.8. I love this lens on the Canon 5D2 and these shots show why they call it the Bokeh lens.

Regards

Jeff
