Sometimes I like to shoot with 1GB cards..gives me barely more exposures than a roll of film..

And from what I just found about prices about the same price (I am including processing) ...

Dealing with 32gig cards is bad-nuff, there are times when I think film was easier.

It was, no time spent in front of a PC .

Right.

Much better to spend endless hours inhaling noxious fumes in the darkroom.

Heh! Unless you had your own darkroom or access to one, sure, you got to pick up your prints and then see what a lousy job you did:)!

was taking a group photo with my previous 7D using the off camera wireless flash feature. I had my friend to hold the flash for me, and he was standing about 5 feet beside me. right before I finished counting to three to snap the picture, one of the girls in the group shouted

"WAIT who are we supposed to smile at? you or the other guy?"

Instead of waiting a week to get your prints from the lab. (for those of us without a darkroom)

That change is exactly what got me into photography. I had just a passing interest when all cameras were film, but got really into it with digital once I realized you could "chimp" instantly and view them on a computer right away too.

On topic: shooting the other day, I had a number of people ask "who are you shooting for." One of them asked who "fun" was.

Someone else made the passing comment: "let's get out of this guy's way, he looks important."

EDIT: ACK! Doublepost :o.

He's the guy who puts the "any" key on your keyboard.

Not sure if this fits, but it made me laugh, so here goes.

The other day while shooting a football game in rainy weather the sun peaked out for a bit. Another 'tog walk over to me and says; "Hey, you get a shot of that rainbow?"

"No, I must have missed it." I said; 40D with 70-200II and TC on camera.

My favorite. I was walking through the park when I met my girlfriend me holding my t1i with my 75-300 under my jacket at waist level. She said: Raz, I hope that`s your zoom.
