So last night I got the opportunity to get above the hockey rink and shoot some shots from 50-75ft above the teams as they played. It was AWESOME!!!! Of course, being up that high and walking along the rafters was a bit unnerving at first…but you quickly get used to the swaying walkways and dipping plywood that was the floor.
We made sure we had nothing in our pocket that could fall down and hit a fan in the stands or a player on the ice. Our camera neck straps were securely fastened and we snapped pictures for about 10 minutes up there. It was definitely a memorable occasion for me!
I tried to get things centered but due to the support beams it was impossible to center myself on my mark. Other than some cropping, I didn't do too much PP on the pics other than levels adjustment, dodge and burning, and resizing. I know...my PP sucks but I'm working on that over the next month and watching tons of tutorials.
