You won't be alone - there will be hundreds of thousands of people very disappointed if these idiots in Washington can't come to an agreement. We should have the power to fire everyone sitting at the negotiation table in Washington.

I know there will be lots of people affected, not to mention the staff/workers who depend on this for their livelihood....

Worst of all...I'm studying abroad in Australia next semester and the passport office will be closed. If my passport doesn't get processed in time I'm ridiculously screwed.

I wouldn't worry too much, maybe there won't be anyone guarding the parks and you can walk right in... sorry bad joke. I hope things go well for you.

I have an arrival date of next Wednesday ( open or not ). It is my first visit as an adult and camera inspired.

I must admit, I am concerned about the park not being open. :(

What's closed? Our local Cuyahoga Vallry NP will have the roads, parking areas and trails open The administrative services will stop These parks are way too big to seal up. You can drive or walk around. Crowds will be small If things realy do stop. Enjoy our parks mate

So, there won't be anyone attempting to babysit me and tell me where I can / can't go?

Woot!

Does anyone really expect our "fearless" leaders to be more stupid than they already are and not pass a temporary measure in the least??? They are pretty dumb, but they relish their positions and excesses way too much to let this actually come to fruition.

Unless I'm grossly mistaken, it wouldn't be the first time.
