WOW $1,996.65 for a Canon 5D Mark II

That is what I bought my 5DmkII for a couple months ago. The problem is it ships from Japan. Right now it looks like all cameras are on back order.

oh you're sam's friend right? Where you able to sell everything. I broke my 70-200mm F4L IS and replaced it with the 2.8L IS II. Do you know any service center close by?

No I'm not a photographer, I just shoot with Canon DSLR with those lenses with red thingy...;)

I ordered my 5d2 with this coupon, got the notice today that it's waiting at the post office...so no back order here, and the website shows them as in stock!

Too bad they don't have the 70-200 2.8L IS II in stock, or else I would be ordering right now. They had it in stock before Christmas...but it hasn't been back up since then.

Bryan

Haven't seen the 70-200 2.8 II since the New Year. The New Year's coupon was 25% off so a bunch of people jumped on it during that promotion. 70-200 was $1699 AC along with the 5DMKII for $1849 AC.

Was able to sell everything. Now when I get to the states time to start buying again. It is going to be a while until I can set up another studio so I am going to focus more on Sports and location shoots. Instead of buying another 70-200 F2.8 IS and think I am going to go with the F4 IS. I seldom shoot any faster then f4 anyways. The Setup I want is the 7D with the 24-105 IS and the 70-200F4 IS. I think that will be a pretty awesome combo for what I am going to be doing. Then of course I will snag another 135 f2 and the 100mm L Macro.

The ranger quadra is pretty much all I needed on the type of photography I wanted to do. I'm glad I bought it although, I had to buy an extention cord and sync cable for pocketwizard. I love the F4L IS. I had the chance to shoot with the 2.8L IS II and I don't think its worth paying extra grand just for an extra stop since the IQ is alot better on my old F4LIS than the one I tested.

I was traveling and missed out on that deal by 24 hours. I was totally sad...

I just ordered a 7D and was wondering how long did the shipping take? The website doesn't provide much information regarding the status other than "shipped".

Usually it's 7-12 days to the CONUS. Since you're in WA, I'd expect to see it in approx one week.

Congrats!

W8291,
Thanks for the code. Just checked it out and it works. I wish AAFES would sale just the body of the 7D. I really don't want the 28-135.

Totally agree. I ended up biting the bullet and purchased the kit with the lens. Hopefully I can sell the lens soon :-)
