Chasing away the female!

This afternoon I was waking around in the local wetlands area, and I heard a great squawking and splashing. This one mallard drake from a group of three was chasing off a single female. I don't know why he didn't want any female company, but maybe he just wanted to hang with the boys. 7D, 100-400L at 400mm. C&C welcomed.
