24L
50L
85/135L
70-200L
300L

Knowing me my lens wishlist is always changing. Once I actually have money saved up to buy a certain lens the choice will either become harder or clearer.

Sigma 150-500mm OS
Sigma 18-200mm OS
Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8
Canon 100mm IS L macro

Only need four, only shoot with four. Five would be the useless turd 50mm f/1.8 that I bought because everyone else had one and I didn't want to feel left out. Nice lens, comes out of the bag every now and then, but typically it's a dust-collector.

The only stupid question is the one that goes unasked - Photographers shoot to thrill, not to kill

I am happy with what I have. Look at my gear list as far as Canon and Tamron. I think that makes 5, well, actually 6. The MF lenses I have I wouldn't miss and the Sigma 150 is a great macro lens but I rarely use it.

No lust for the 24-70 or 85L and I don't need anything longer than what I have.

I am looking for something better than the 17-40 for what I shoot but, unfortunately, there is nothing out there worth replacing it with.

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

For crop:

17-55mm f2.8 IS
70-200 (take your pick on f2.8 or f4, IS or non-IS)
50mm f1.4 (Sig or Canon)
85mm f 1.8
take your pcik of specialty based on need:

Macro?
Super Tele?
T/S?
UWA?

That's a pretty well rounded collection for most purposes...

I keep thinking I need to preorder the Sigma 150 OS macro....

Oh, and the Zuiko 250/2 would be on there somewhere.

I own 7 lenses, but my two EF-S lenses are only for lightweight travel or hiking. That leaves these five:

50 f/1.4
85 f/1.8
135 f/2L
Tamron 28-75 f/2.8
70-200 f/4L IS
100-400L

I'd be happy to swap my 70-200 for the 70-200 f/2.8L IS mk2, and my 100-400L for a 300 f/2.8L or 500 f/4L. I'd be happy to replace the 50 f/1.4 too, but not sure which other 50mm I'd pick.

With an eye toward flowers and landscape on a FF, I started with

24-70mm 2.8
100mm macro 2.8

then Added
300mm f4 IS (came up on craigslist)
Rokinon 14mm (can 't beat the price)

when I find a 70-200 f4 IS that will be my five...but I can still lust after the Zeiss 21 2.8:cool:

deep greens and blues are the colors I choose ...
