The DSLR Camera Paddy in the link does look interesting. Is anyone using it?

The link/source of the Camera Paddy to be used with a "stealth" messenger bag came from this thread:

There's even a post of a review on YouTube:

Thx for the tip :) It actually looks like the best bet so far, however I'm not sure the "lid" is a good thing... are you actually using this and/or have you seen anyone using it with either the F-802/804 or Tenba...?

Agreed! I was just "admiring" my Tkink Tank UD35 and one real benefit is that the inner compartment is completely lined with velcro-friendly felt! I think we need TT to creat an insert for us...

I did order the paddy. The idea was to use this on a "stealth" messenger bag. I do like the lid since it has an area with mesh for little items like memory cards, lens caps, etc. and acts as another padding on the top.

(I already posted the thread and video link in a previous post... check it out and get an idea of size, fit)

In my case, configuring my camera into the paddy is a little difficult with a grip and a QR plate. It's flexible enough though that I'm making it work. My messenger bag has not arrived yet.

Also, I can't speak as to the paddy's fit with the Tenbas.

Thx! I have the problem that I want to be able to fit my longest lens (70-200 f/4 IS) mounted to my 50D. This will fit in most messengers height-wise w/o problems but it won't fit into the Paddy with the lid closed. Thus, the lid's less interesting for me (*sigh*)

For those who don't need height clearance, the Paddy will fit perfectly in the Tenba (small & large) as it has the same width as the Tenba insert and is slightly thinner.

Couldn't you just cut the lid off?
