Love to see all these photo's lately. Great shots everyone.

Zens, here's a fog shot from FL:

OK, so actually it's a shot from walking into the humid FL air from the A/C. It was clear air and foggy lens. Best I could do under the circumstances. :)

And other with the pseudo fog lifting.

Butch, thanks. Strange weather indeed. It was over 100° last week and got down to 47° yesterday in the middle of the day. I went to Julian today with a friend and we encountered snow.

I hear ya... Dallas Raines (local news Meteorologist here in SoCal/Los Angeles area) said that the ski season could extend as far as JULY 4th!!! Bwahhahahahha... Absolutely classic statement... Anyhoo... I don't think I've shared these yet... If I did, my bad... Just wanted to post something for PAGE 500...

PS. And for those who live in SoCal area (I.E., O.C., and L.A.), several POTN'ers are shooting this Saturday morning (April 16th) at the Los Angeles Zoo... For more info, check the "SoCal" thread in the members forum... HHehhehehehe...

I just grabbed a 1ds2. Part of a large package with equipment I bought that I plan to sell onwards most of the stuff. I am pleasantly surprised. I could only do a few random shots. But I like what I see. Probably a keeper. Will then sell the 1d3 I have. I really liked the few first files.

The menu was odd, but figured it out quickly enough.

Jon, I hope your lens airs out OK and doesn't stay fogged up for long.

Jeff, thanks for the info on the edit, great stuff.

bbss, is that a mushroom in the first shot?

This is an abandoned business I ran across yesterday.

Went to the eastern shore this weekend.
Last shot used Genus Vari-ND filter. Handheld Lee .9 Hard Grad ND

* also a side question. I'm just got the camera two weeks ago and can only get 150-200 shots before the battery all of a sudden just drops out in charge and starts to die. I'm guessing it's the original battery so from not being charged for quite sometime it may of had an adverse effect on it. It's the Canon OEM and I've tried refresh and get about the same. Do these batteries just lose the ability to hold a charge if they sit for a year or so uncharged? Just ordered a new one so hopefully that solves the problem. I love this camera though. Left my 5dII in the bag all weekend : )

Hey Jmarsh, sounds like the battery is pooched, I had the same issue with mine. I would get about 200 shots and then it would need to be recharged so I went out and bought a new one, now I get closer to 1600 on a charge and keep the old one for a back up. Nice shots all!

Can you recommend a good source to purchase a new battery?

jmarshphoto, I really like the lighthouse, I assume that's what it is anyway...even though it's a bit washed out in the foreground.

I had to shoot this from the side of the road. I would liked to have gotten much closer but this will give you an idea of the wild flowers starting to bloom. We've had a good rainy season.

I just picked one up from adorama since earlier B&H's site was screwed up. They have them for $108
I intentionally blew out the foreground on the shots. I processed them with the foreground properly exposed but i didn't like it nearly as much, Beach was too dirty. I's actually not a lighthouse but an old WW2 lookout tower. Thanks ; )

Great shot BTW!

And you've got some other really good ones on your gallery page too! I like the one of the sheriff's office building!

Cheers!
