Here are a few pictures of the 2011 Dallas Auto Show

Start it off right, with the Bugatti Veyron

Next is the Concept Corvette Sting Ray

The New Mercedes SLS. The hood o this car is large enough to fit a king sized bed and room to spare for a night stand.

You don't need to be locked into the 2:3 format on these shots. If you can't get closer, then just crop the uninteresting parts of the image out. For instance, in #2 crop down to the people & get rid if the stuff at the right side.

people give it atmosphere, IMO, it is after all an auto show

I would personally use a different composition for most of these shots, but I agree that people are part of the show here ... I try to get as little people as possible in my show shots, but this just isn't possible with the more exotic cars, they are always cramped ... even during press days !

For online publication I tend to stay with a 900x600 dimension (I even go back to 1024x768 these days to fit the iPad) ... in printing anything goes on the other hand ...

The crowd behind it isn't enough for you? I don't see where the woman with the stroller adds to the atmosphere, and neither does the ceiling?
