I have been taking pictures on "auto" for years and decided to try and step it up a notch and now have a 60D and just downloaded Aperture. I'd like to play around with HDR and it looks like Photomatix is highly recommended and see they have three versions - Light, Pro and a plug-in for Aperture.

Is the plug-in good or should I consider something else?

Thanks in advance!

I think the Aperture version of the plugin has less features than the stand alone or LR version.
