I have a much simpler walk-a-round landscape set-up but i don't have any pics of it atm.

I used to go exclusively 17-40 / 70-200 on landscapes with my 5d1, but now with the 5d2 im mostly 24-70.

I really do miss the 17-40 / 70-200 combo for landscapes, but my work is more relevant to the 24-70. :(

I take the 100 macro with me, and decide between OFC or booze.

Thanks for the great idea on what to take along for those chilly landscape sort of days.

Name is Peter and here is my gear:
Canon 5D II, Canon 7D, Canon 40D
Glass - Zeiss 21 f/2.8 ZE, Canon 35 f/1.4L, Canon 40 f/2.8 STM, Canon 24-70 f/2.8
L, Canon 85 f/1.2L II, Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS II, Canon 500 f/4L IS
Speedlite 580ex II, 430ex - Gitzo GT-3541XLS w/ Arca B1

What backpack is that?

It looks like a Lowepro Vertex based on what I can see. Something along those lines anyway.

I think its a Trekker 200AW or something, theres a laptop slot at the back, but i can't find any of the official naming info. Theres also a tripod attachement and whatnot.

Great bag, but i haven't used it for my camera in a whiles, its mostly filled with grip gear/cables/speedlights nowadays.

something i forgot to mention that i love to take with me on landscape shoots, is a c-angle. Makes me pause more about composition and lets me work better with angles, i think its a personal thing but it made landscape shooting more fun for me and more like my MF camera.

Feel free to call me Case.

My 3531S with the 55 on top is just right if you are 5' 6" to 5'8". After that, get the L version....or indeed if you are are in 6'++ terrritory...go to the 5 series.
