Nice, I most always have a Kershaw Storm in my pocket. It's no designer knife but very well made for the money.

not too big, but big enough - not gonna scare anyone with it.

I recommend removing the safety as it can be sticky at inopportune times. (very easy - just take out a screw). I don't the version with serrations (true of any knife) - can't sharpen.

I have a couple. One is always on me.

Ditto on the Kershaw, Chive in my pocket most of the time. Small well made knife with open assist.

I have the Storm as well, the 3" blade size (I think there is a 3.5 as well)

I carry a butter knife in case I get hungry and want to butter my bread. It also works as a screwdriver in a pinch.

interesting thread. i've got an old buck xtract that's finally showing its age. i'll be looking to upgrade to some leatherman i find the multitool to be very hand and i've definitely appreciated a bigger blade. if anyone has suggestions for a good multitool with a 3"+ blade i'd be glad to hear it!

A Gerber LMF ii is always in my bag. Never know when a large, sharp fixed blade knife with a 'skull crusher' butt might be needed

Anybody looking for a handy multi-tool for the urban jungle check out the Leatherman Skeletool series. I have the all silver model with standard blade(first gen I guess) and have used it hard but not abused it and it's still tight as new. It's just the right size for everyday carry, at least it has been for the past 3 years.

For a multitool, I'm very happy with my Leatherman Charge Ti (titanium).
The blade is SV30 steel, which is the finest tool steel that Leatherman (or anyone else) has ever put into a multitool. Every single tool has a 'lock', so it wont' snap back on your fingers. Check it out !

Forget Gerber and all that other Crap. I've become a big fan of ESEE and BECKER. These are favorites:
